What do you think of when you hear the word, "church?" Each one of us have thoughts and emotions that we feel and think when we reflect on our experiences with church or church people. Do you feel like something is missing in your church experiences? Do you feel like you are alone even when surrounded by lots of other individuals? Today, this is a common challenge for churches in America. However, this is a challenge that the very first church did not experience due to a common belief they shared. Jesus grew up in and began his ministry in a culture that was heavily religious. It was also a culture that was deeply divided between the religious and the irreligious. Today, here in the United States, we are seeing many of the same trends and division that existed then. In this series, we will look at these questions and see how Scripture tells us to handle them.
